What the Company Does

The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) is a global leader in branded consumer goods, most of which are household names. It operates through the following divisions: Beauty, Grooming, Health Care, Fabric and Home Care plus Baby, Feminine and Family Care. P&G brands include market leaders like Ariel, Fairy, Gillette, Olay, Oral B and Pampers.

It sells its products mainly through, e-commerce, grocery stores, membership club stores, drug stores, department stores, distributors, wholesalers, speciality beauty stores, pharmacies, electronics stores and professional channels, as well as directly to consumers through e-commerce. 

The company was founded by William Procter and James Gamble in 1837 and is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. P&G operates globally but around half of all sales come from North America.
