What the Company Does
Oxford Metrics is a smart sensing and software group. The company uses vision and other sensing technologies to derive valuable insights into real world application, primarily in motion capture and smart manufacturing.
The motion capture business is called Vicon and addresses three main markets, Life Sciences, Engineering and Entertainment. In Life Science and Engineering, the bulk of the customer base is in academia, with a smaller percentage in commercial applications.
In Entertainment, most customers come from the commercial world and include many famous names. In smart manufacturing, the company’s metrology and vision/camera systems support customers in areas like quality control in the automotive industry and the inspection of medical devices and contact lenses.
