What the Company Does

Nasdaq, Inc. is a US holding company mainly known for its tech-focused stock exchange business but also engaged in related activities such as securities listing and trading, clearing, technology, regulatory information and company services. It is a leading global technology company serving corporate clients, investment managers, banks, stockbrokers and exchange operators as they interact with the broader financial system.

The company aims to deliver world-leading platforms that improve the liquidity, transparency and integrity of the global economy. Nasdaq’s offering of data, analytics, software, exchange capabilities and other services enables clients to execute their strategy with confidence. The company operates through three divisions: Capital Access Platforms, Market Platforms and Anti-Financial Crime.

Nasdaq has transformed itself in recent years into a broader provider of platforms and technology to capital markets and the wider financial services industry. As Nasdaq has expanded in higher value areas like cybercrime and sustainability data, trading revenues have declined as a share of the group total, although they are still important.
