Founded by John Moody in 1909, Moody’s Corporation is an US head-quartered company operating in the world of financial data. It has two divisions: Moody's Investors Service (MIS) and Moody's Analytics (MA).

MIS is a credit rating agency, publishing credit ratings and analytical insights on corporate, government and other types of bonds or debt. This business looks at the creditworthiness of borrowers, which helps lenders make better decisions. The MA division develops products and services which support the financial analysis and risk management activities of global financial markets. Moody’s combines international presence with local expertise and over a century of experience in financial markets.
