What the Company Does

Micron is a semiconductor company which makes memory and storage chips, including “DRAM” and “NAND,” which are used in many everyday technologies such as smartphones, laptops, cars and industrial machines, as well as data centres and AI systems.

Founded in 1978, it is one of the world’s three largest memory-chip makers, alongside Samsung and SK Hynix and the only one headquartered in the United States.

Its products help devices run quickly and store data reliably, making them an important part of modern computing and the growing use of artificial intelligence.
