What the Company Does

Macfarlane Group designs, manufactures and distributes protective packaging products to businesses in the UK and Europe. It has two divisions, Packaging Distribution and Manufacturing Operations segments. The Packaging Distribution operation distributes packaging materials in Britain, Ireland and Europe. The Manufacturing Operations business designs, manufactures and assembles timber, corrugated and foam-based packaging materials in the UK.

The company also recovers wastepaper and corrugated boards for recycling. In addition, it engages in the supply and distribution of equipment for packaging as well as specialist packaging materials. The company serves e-commerce retail, logistics, electronics, aerospace, automotive, medical, homeware, general industrial, food and hospitality markets.

The goods and services provided by Macfarlane are sold to a broad range of business customers, supplying them with high quality protective packaging products which help them reduce distribution costs, improve operational efficiencies and enhance the quality of their brands.
