EKF develops and supplies medical diagnostic products, including point-of-care and life sciences solutions.  The company relies on a global supply chain, which introduces risks related to labour standards, worker rights and ethical sourcing, particularly where enforcement varies. Risks include reputational damage, regulatory penalties and production delays.

While medical goods are generally exempt from international sanctions due to their humanitarian nature, EKF’s continued sales into markets such as Russia is noteworthy. Potential disruption from evolving sanctions frameworks adds further complexity. EKF must maintain strict compliance with export controls and ensure transparent reporting of its trade practices.
