Amundi is one of Europe’s largest specialist asset managers, making it a global leader in an industry where scale is increasingly important, due to the pressure on profit margins from rising costs and competition over fees.

Amundi has a diversified investment product range, including their own range of low-cost passive Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), covering most major asset classes and product types. Its commitment to tight cost control is reflected in an industry leading financial performance. 

For Amundi, growth opportunities can be found in newer asset classes such as private credit (loans and debt financing to businesses) as well as new geographies outside its core European base.

A solid balance sheet with strong credit ratings and excellent cash flow generation ensures a secure and attractive dividend stream and the capacity to do share buybacks, which improves earnings per share performance. 

Like many financial institutions, Amundi has made net-zero commitments, but continues to allocate capital to high-emitting sectors, including oil & gas. In addition, disclosure of sector-specific emissions data remains limited.
