What the Company Does

American Water Works (AWK) provides water and wastewater services to households, businesses and public organisations in the United States under contracts usually regulated at state level.

Established in 1886, the company serves millions of people in fourteen states, spread across the East Coast and Midwest, as well as California and Hawaii. It is the largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility in the US, owning more than 50,000 miles of pipes and around 600 water treatment plants.
