The Castlefield Charitable Fund supports charities in the Greater Manchester area, providing a positive impact to the local community and environment in the following key focus areas:

- Preventing homelessness
- Support for vulnerable families and children (immediate need & education)
- Health and wellbeing
- Environment and sustainability

The Castlefield Charitable Fund was originally established in 2006 by the Partners of our first trading business from funds which might otherwise have been distributed to the Partners as profits. Today it provides our group with the means to support worthwhile projects with a positive social and environmental impact.

Small grants (up to £5,000 per annum) are available to registered charities with an annual expenditure of under £1million.

The Charitable Fund also supports a donation-matching scheme for Castlefield Co-owners.

CCF's 2026 Charity Partner

We are pleased to announce that we have a new charity partner for the year, in Collyhurst & Moston Boxing Club

Collyhurst and Moston Boxing Club is a long‑standing community gym in North Manchester that has used boxing to build confidence, discipline and positive choices since 1917. It offers affordable training for people of all ages and backgrounds, with a strong focus on respect and personal growth. We are supporting the club because its work with local young people fits closely with our aim to help improve lives in the communities we serve.

At the start of 2026, we awarded the club a £5,000 grant to fund weekly Women and Girls' Boxing sessions. We will track changes in confidence, fitness, wellbeing and attendance, and review progress at three and six months. These sessions give women and girls a safe space to build strength and confidence, and help open lasting routes into sport and community activity.
