The Booth Centre Sleepout 2025

At Castlefield, we believe in the power of giving back to our community, and one of the ways we do this is through our ongoing charity partnerships. Throughout 2025, we're continuing our collaboration with The Booth Centre, a Manchester-based charity dedicated to tackling homelessness and providing support to those in need.

This year, we’re proud to sponsor The Booth Centre’s annual Sleepout – an event that raises vital funds and awareness for people experiencing homelessness and all the challenges this brings. On Friday 14th November, a group of our Co-owners will be trading the boardroom for sleeping bags, and joining others in the grounds of Manchester Cathedral to show solidarity with those in our community.

About the Booth Centre

This year sees the 30th anniversary of the Booth Centre community. The Booth Centre provides a warm welcome, an opportunity to belong, to gain a purpose and rebuild lives. By offering activities such as volunteering, creative projects and sports, as well as training and help to gain employment, they support people to improve health and wellbeing, to access emergency accommodation, and to secure and maintain a permanent home.

The Centre is run in partnership with the people who attend and they apply their skills and experience to influence strategic change.

The Sleepout

The Booth Centre was the first homelessness charity in Manchester to host a Sleepout, starting in 2011 at Manchester Cathedral. This year, the Sleepout returns to the Cathedral on the 14th November from 7pm-6am, with both new and returning participants.

The night will include talks and stories from our community, offering space to reflect, learn, and connect. While it’s not the same as sleeping rough, the Sleepout is a powerful act of solidarity with those facing homelessness.

Castlefield are proud to sponsor this year’s Sleepout through the Castlefield Charitable Fund, and we’re even prouder that a group of our Co-owners will be stepping up (and sleeping out!) on the night to support The Booth Centres incredible work.

All funds raised from the event will directly support the Booth Centre and the services they provide, including their free community café and kitchen, vital health and wellbeing services, accommodation, and employability programmes.

Castlefield Charitable Fund

Throughout the year, Castlefield will be organising various fundraising events and initiatives to support The Booth Centre's invaluable work. From charity runs and sponsored challenges to office fundraisers and volunteering opportunities, we're committed to raising both awareness and funds to assist The Booth Centre in their mission to support individuals experiencing homelessness and social exclusion.

We are incredibly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in our continued partnership with The Booth Centre. Together, we can make a real difference in our community and help create positive change for those who need it most.

The Castlefield Charitable Fund supports charities in the Greater Manchester area providing a positive impact to the local community and environment in the following key focus areas:

  • Preventing homelessness
  • Support for vulnerable families and children (immediate need & education)
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Environment and sustainability

The Castlefield Charitable Fund was originally established in 2006 by the Partners of our first trading business from funds which might otherwise have been distributed to the Partners as profits. Today it provides our group with the means to support worthwhile projects with a positive social and environmental impact.
