Castlefield to Relocate Manchester Office to The Hive

We're delighted to announce that Castlefield will soon be moving to a new Manchester office in the heart of the Northern Quarter at The Hive, 51 Lever Street, Manchester, M1 1FN.

The move marks an exciting new chapter for the business and reflects both the way we work today and our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Why We're Moving

As the lease on our current office at 111 Piccadilly approached renewal, we undertook a detailed review of our future requirements.

Working patterns have evolved significantly in recent years, with greater flexibility and remote working reducing the need for large office footprints and extensive meeting facilities. At the same time, we wanted a space that would support collaboration, help us attract and retain talented people, and place us closer to the amenities and transport links that make Manchester such a vibrant place to work.

Following a thorough evaluation of several options across the city, The Hive was the clear choice.

A building designed around sustainability

The Hive is widely recognised as one of Manchester's most energy-efficient office buildings, combining innovative design with practical environmental performance. Its features include natural ventilation, passive cooling through exposed concrete construction, intelligent lighting controls, low-water-use systems, renewable energy sourcing, and industry-recognised sustainability credentials including a BREEAM Excellent rating and EPC A certification.

The building has also recently undergone a substantial refurbishment, enhancing visitor facilities, reception areas, cycle storage and changing facilities for occupiers.

Environmentally responsible fit-out

Work is currently in progress, so it's still quite a building site, but our office fit-out is being approached with the same sustainable mindset. Wherever possible, we are prioritising reuse over replacement, selecting recycled and recyclable materials, and making environmentally responsible choices throughout the project. We have also commissioned an independent assessment of the fit-out's carbon footprint to help us measure and understand its environmental impact.

Our in-house photographer and designer, Catherine Player, has also been commissioned to provide some unique pieces for the internal décor, capturing the vibrancy and diversity of our Manchester roots.

Key dates to support the move:

  • Client and external meetings at 111 Piccadilly ceased from end of June
  • Please make sure to update your records to reflect our new address from 3 August 2026.
  • We expect to begin working from The Hive from 9 August 2026
  • Client and external meetings are expected to resume at the new office from the week commencing 24 August 2026

Throughout the transition, our teams will continue to operate normally and remain available to support clients, investors and partners.
