Thematic Report: Single-use Plastics

The Blue Planet 2 series in 2017 alerted millions of viewers to the damage that plastics are causing our natural ecosystems. The proliferation of plastic is a by-product of modern consumerism and unfortunately the durability of the material means that much of the plastic that has ever been produced is still in existence.

In this report we explore some of the industries most affected and consider the trade-offs involved as the world seeks to move away from single-use plastics. We will also outline what the companies we invest in are doing to address the problem and our role as investors in influencing positive change.
