Stewardship Report 2016/17

We are pleased to present our third Stewardship Report, which covers the twelve months to end-June 2017.

It has been a busy year for the team as we have grown in size and our ambition has grown in scope in parallel. We have published our voting policy and been able to carry out much more direct engagement with companies, whether relating to AGM voting or issues of concern that we might have. The level of interaction received from companies has been heartening, even if we inevitably continue to disagree on the correct approach to topics such as executive pay. The conversation has to start somewhere and as long-term investors, we are ideally aiming to work with companies to effect change for the better over that period, rather than looking for a short-term fix.
