'Show the love' this February

This month I am asking the Castlefield team to ‘Show the love’ to raise awareness of Climate Change

‘For The Love Of...’ is The Climate Coalition’s campaign for action on climate change to protect the things we all love, from bees to the British coastline to people everywhere.
Their mission is to make the world’s energy use 100% ‘clean’ within a generation.
Show the love for the places, people and life that we want to protect.
I am busy supporting the campaign in a range of ways this year. The team at Chester & District Friends of the Earth (FoE) has already had a craft night, making green felt heart brooches to wear during February to start the conversations with people about climate change.
On Valentine’s Day, as part of my role as a member of Chester Devas Women’s Institute (WI), I have encouraged the group to hold a meeting around the campaign. I will be teaching members how to make their own green heart brooches. The evening will be themed around the campaign which is supported by the WI.
I will also be asking everyone from Chester FoE, Chester Devas WI and Castlefield to take photos showing things they love that might be affected by climate change (see below).

Climate change has already made its mark on the British landscape, where our lives play out and our memories are made. In fact, all over the world, people and the places they cherish are being affected by climate change.
Use the frame at the back of the Supporter’s Pack below to take a picture of your special place. Share your picture across social media and show everyone just how important it is that we don`t lose it to climate change.
