Castlefield Associate Amelia Overd named on 30 Under 30 list for second year

By Nathan Cameron

For the second consecutive year, Castlefield's Amelia Overd, has been named as one of the UK's wealth and investment rising stars after making Citywire Wealth Manager's '30 Under 30' list.

The Top 30 Under 30 list celebrates the best young talent in the wealth management and investment industry, and has been running for 13 years.

Organiser Citywire Wealth Manager reported that the competition was strong (as always) and the standard was very high. A number of factors were considered when shortlisting the final 30, including professional and educational achievements, work responsibilities, and candidates’ overall contribution to their company through investment research and managing client money.

Included on the list this year are CFA charterholders, directors and heads of research. Notably, a common theme among them is a focus on sustainability, demonstrating how the next generation of investment rising stars are making their mark across the investment world in a positive way.

Amelia, an Associate in our investment management team, made the cut last year and has been successful in being named on this revered list again.

As part of the interview process, Amelia was asked which celebrity she thinks would make an effective wealth manager. Interestingly she nominated BBC presenter Naga Munchetty, suggesting that the BBC journalist would keep clients comfortable and well informed at all times.
