Co-owner close-up, Lucy Conboy

I joined Castlefield in December 2018 as an Executive in the Financial Advice team. Over the last three and a half years my role has been continually evolving, which has enabled me to develop a heap of new skills and has allowed me to work closely with co-owners across the team and across the business.

Having graduated university in 2017 with an Economics degree I started my professional career within accountancy. I quickly realised a career in Financial Services would be better suited to me which, thankfully, coincided with an opportunity arising at Castlefield. Castlefield’s employee-owned structure appealed to me as I felt it would facilitate a strong culture and give me the opportunity to work with colleagues who share the same values, and I wasn’t wrong!

Exams and professional development are at the heart of the Financial Services sector and Castlefield supports co-owners in their professional development through the Castlefield Academy. I currently hold the CISI Investment Advice Diploma, and I am working towards CII Regulated Diploma in Financial Advice with my next exam round the corner.

In September 2021, I was promoted to Senior Executive having stepped into a more technical role within the Paraplanning team supporting the financial advice team with product research and report writing.

Outside of your role there is plenty to get involved in; I am a member of the Media Team helping to produce articles and content for the website and the Give Back Group helping to plan and coordinate the firm's charitable activities. I was also a member of the ‘return to the office team’ that was responsible for keeping the office running during the pandemic.
