Originally from Scotland, I joined Castlefield after three years at a large Life, Pensions & Investments provider in Edinburgh. My main job there was acting as a “fixer” for independent financial advisers when things went awry.
Now that I am at Castlefield, it is certainly interesting to see things from the other end of the telephone line! My role at Castlefield is focused on supporting our advisers to make sure our clients’ money works as hard as possible for them. I am a huge believer that financial advice should be a means to an end, with that end being what you want from life. It’s great to work with so many clients who see doing environmental and social good as one of their objectives too.
Outside of work, I am a keen sailor and recently completed an ocean crossing of c. 3,000 nautical miles – a great low carbon method of getting about, if you have the time! On the weekends, I can be found following the varying fortunes of my two loves in life – Heart of Midlothian F.C. and the Scottish National rugby team.
