Chloe Smith

Senior Executive, Investment Management

I joined Castlefield in January 2017 after graduating with an MSc in International Financial Analysis, following a degree in law at Newcastle University. As part of my masters degree I was required to write a report on a chosen company for my dissertation and it was through this that I found myself naturally drawn to analysing the ethics of my chosen company, a cosmetics brand. After finishing my masters, I decided to research ethical investment and found Castlefield to be the perfect place to begin my career. I now work within the investment management team conducting company and economic research.

Outside of work I enjoy going for long walks with my black Labrador, Benson. Our favourite strolling place is Dovestones where he enjoys taking a swim in the clean reservoir, in contrast to the usual dirty puddles he likes to swim in! Since sixth form I have been interested in charity work, where I was involved with a charity UgandAid. I was fortunate enough to travel to Uganda to implement the projects for which we had raised funds. Since joining Castlefield I’ve been able to continue this interest by becoming a volunteer for a local homeless charity with a number of my colleagues. I also took part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise funds for our charity partner, La Renaissance in Burkina Faso.
